Atelier de Curiosités, an immersive journey into a world of craftsmanship and creativity
At the foot of the Champs-Élysées store’s central staircase, Polène presents a new discovery experience within an area covering nearly 100 square metres. Aptly named the Atelier de Curiosités, the experience takes visitors from Paris to Ubrique and back again without leaving the store to explore the steps involved in creating a bag or jewellery piece.
On this behind-the-scenes tour of the Polène universe engaging several senses at once – sight, sound, touch and smell – visitors learn about the precision and skill of Polène’s artisans as well as its wellspring of creativity.
The journey opens with a monumental and central illuminated display referencing key stages in the process of creating a bag, from the selection of leathers to the whirring of the sewing machine and the strikes of the patacabra.
Throughout the experience, specific gestures, tools and materials are showcased, from topstitching and die cutting to prototyping, a wealth of detail giving visitors a window into the unique world of Polène’s craftsmanship.
The Atelier de Curiosités is open every day at the Champs-Élysées store. Admission is free for all visitors and by reservation only.
